Facilities‘Burn’ Lab
Burning materials and undertaking combustion tests can be dangerous and is governed by State and Federal regulation. Located remotely from other buildings and habitation, Compalistics has created a remotely monitored and fully automatic ‘burn lab’ that allows combustion experiments to be undertaken in a safe and controlled environment where we have the ability to undertake combustion experiments on a variety of products and components. The company has gas analysis equipment to accurately measure the mix and consituents of a combustion event.
The reinforced burn lab has an independent air flow system and integral CCTV equipment to visually monitor and remotely record combustion data. Individual tests are fully instrumented so that precise measurements and timings can be obtained as a test progresses. Once a test is complete, the lab can be fully ventilated prior to a technician re-entering the test environment.
